What were the disadvantages and advantages of each side during the American Revolutionary War? Based on these, who do you think should have won the American Revolution? Why? (12 points) By having a Strong Central Government and by being well-trained, well-supplied, were just a few of the British’s advantages during the American Revolutionary War. Some disadvantages the British had is that they were unfamiliar with the territory and that they had nothing to fight for, they were just fighting another war in a sense. Gentleman Warfare is the common method of fighting, and it is down by having each side line up across from each other and they take turns firing their guns at each other. We were able to see this in the movie the Patriot when they all lined up and we were able to see the front row of each sides line up fall to the ground because of the line of fire. Guerrilla Warfare was introduced by the America Militia, since they were not as good as the British they decided to hide and shoot. This style of warfare made a great impact on war because it changed the way both sides started to fight, once the America Militia started to use this style of fighting, British also started to use it.
