Do you feel like you have too many standardized testing? Is it stressing you out? Standardized testing is one of the main causes of students stress. There is too much standardized testing and kids are not getting enough sleep,not eating,and pushing their limits. They will stay up all night because they know that there is a test tomorrow. They won't eat because there stomachs are in knots. Lastly,they will try to study for the test,that may also be the cause not enough sleep.
My main target is to have less standardized testing in schools today,so kids aren't so stressed out, Because life is stressful enough.
Standardized testing causes less sleep. Teenagers sleep range (14-17) need at least 8-10 hours of sleep to be successful. If they really need that much sleep,Standardized tests aren't doing the job. We need to cut back on them so that we don't have a bunch of tired students who aren't ready to take the test yet. It also serves to what collage or job you can take. For students it can be good too,because instead of being in class doing stuff,your taking a quiet test,and for some can be considered a break. Cheating on standardized tests is rare too. Because if they cheat,then they might get a retake of the test because it was a poor grade or too high of a grade for that student. Students may even learn something from the test too,they have facts,stories,and even multiple choice which could lead to students learning a thing or two from the test.
