Such as when he said “ if you're thinkin' about my baby It don't matter if you're black or white”.(black) The perception given by this is connecting to interracial couples because it basically says race doesn’t affect the attraction in the situation. Another example is when he said “ They print my message in the Saturday Sun I had to tell them I ain't second to none And I told about equality And it's true Either you're wrong or you're right”(Black) The perspective of these lines in the song tells a little historical information while at the same time in a sense of equality. “ They print my message in the Saturday Sun I had to tell them I ain't second to none” the perspective of this is referring to the ongoing subject of former slavery which is used as an alternative in arguments between blacks and the white race , where slaves would work in the hot climates for long periods of time. Then the section where he said “ ain’t second to none” he’s stating he isn’t controlled in any way by anyone which commonly is said about those in interracial relationships of black and white. Usually white person in the relationships is in control. “And I talk about equality And it's true Either you're wrong or you're right”(black) This ensures that he is not using the last statement to start racial conflict and also shows how he views everyone as equal. Also how being wrong or right shouldn’t be based on skin tone, it should be based on actions. Another example is “ I ain't scared of your brother I ain't scared of no sheets I ain't scare of nobody Girl, when the goin' gets mean”(Black) this whole line is referring to standing up to different parts of society of both races that disagree with the interracial relationship.
