The room I chose in my house is the living room/dining area. I chose this room in the house because; the couches are relaxing and whenever it’s too hot or cold in my room, the temperature is always just right. Another reason is: my mom, brothers, sisters and visitors are always hanging out there when they come over. Besides, that’s where all the entertainment is.
We have a 50’’ flat screen television with surround sound that sits between the two windows facing east. I guess my mom chose to put our TV there because there isn’t a glare from the sun when the windows are open in the morning, and the surround sound speakers can go all the way around the surrounding walls. Plus, its good placing’s for our furniture as well as our lamps, end tables, coffee table, carpet and plants. All of the curtains and the carpet match our furniture in color (brown, beige, and maroon) including our lamp shades. Along the wall on the left hand side there is also, our home stereo system and computer desk.
Since our dining area is a part of the big space connected to the living room; I consider it to be “part of the living room too”. Like our table and chairs all sit in the center of my house right when you walk up the stairs by the door, with a ceiling fan in the middle. The stand that the microwave sits on is along the banister. (My siblings and I sometimes sit around the table and play card games or dominoes because, the chairs are comfortable and the table is big. It’s also good lighting.)
The down side to the living room is when; I need to study or just want to sit and watch TV there is always people there. It seems like everything around me is louder when I’m trying to study. It often draws my attention to other things, and I end up not even studying sometimes until last minute. Otherwise I just wait until there isn’t so much going on or, if my daughter is sleeping. She’s usually the reason why my attention gets drawn away from doing homework.
The living room is also a good place where I can multitask doing homework and pay attention to my daughter at the same time. Like; the bathroom is just right in the hallway for when she’s bathing , the couches are only a few feet from the dining table when she’s watching TV and our room is next to the bathroom so I can hear her when she’s in there playing. I can also see outside from just sitting on one of the couches when I allow her to play outside in the backyard.

My dining room has white walls, a wood table that is a lighter shade, and white cabinets that hold little detailed plates. The room needed a pop of color, and the painting by Pamela was the perfect fit. The painting isn’t distracting, so it doesn’t take over the room in any way. I love how simple it is! The viewer can see the painting in many different ways because it is not that…

The physical setting of the room that the main character occupies has a great affect on her well being throughout the story. When the main character first walks into the room she states, "It was a nursery first, and then the playroom and gymnasium, I should judge, for the windows are barred for little children, and there are rings and things in the walls" (400), this shows us, the reader how the main character thought of her room in the sense that we can feel her emotions dropping in this sentence. Furthermore, we most certainly cannot leave out the wallpaper. This…

Of course, about an eighth of the living room was occupied by the eight or nine foot entertainment center. The entertainment center towered over all of us with dark and polished stained wood. The structure itself contained a late 1980s television, CD player, satellite, DVD and VHS player, and the collection of about ten million movies weighing it down to our hard wood floors. The bottom half had four drawers; three of which, held DVDs and VHS tapes. The bottom drawer had been broken for as long as I can remember, but we still jammed all of our extra blankets inside it. The top half, with all of the electronic appliances, had two large doors that never truly shut all the way because of the colossal TV. My dad had to be right because someday, it was bound to fall…

One theme that is great for any age boy is a cabin theme. This is perfect for little boys and older boys because most boys enjoy camping in the outdoors or even fishing or hiking. The best thing about this type of room theme is it can even bring back pleasant memories for each parent. Decorating the room is easy you simply have to find wallpaper borders that remind you of a cabin in the woods, which can be moose or even bears. You can use animal themed bedding or you can choose plaid patterns, which the plaid often reminds you of flannel pajamas that you wear in the winter while camping out. You can add natural accessories or you can buy stuff to help decorate the room, you can even use rustic furniture, such as wooden chests for toys and a log style bed.…

I lay patiently on the cracked leather chaise longue. The modest room was a fading cream colour, books line the wall near my feet in an ornate shelf, a small desk and chair sit by the wall opposite me next to the iron door, there is a single swinging light in the middle of the room which casts a golden glow over everything and a painting of a sailing ship hangs above me.…

This house and porch swing was found on the internet but would go perfectly with the scene of Cameron and Neely meeting for the first time in 15 years. Cameron’s Parents house is your classic Main St. upper-middleclass family home with a paved driveway and green grass all year round. In the driveway sits three cars, Acura RSX (2003) Infiniti QX (2003) and a Chevrolet Silverado (1990). Its close to sunset when the scene takes place so the porch lights are on.…

The Room might originally have been an iOS title, but a lot of effort clearly went into enhancing it for its PC debut. The wait was worth it though as the PC version retained all the best elements of the original game while also polishing everything to a fine sheen. The developers used the same approach for The Room Two, which follows directly after the events of part one. Your character is still following the cryptic letters of the scientist who got him embroiled in the mystery, but this time it is a quest that takes you beyond the creepy mansion.…
