Discuss Freud's Conception Of The Id In The Movie Megamind
A relatively new story of a hero named Metro Man versus a monster/villain who goes by the name Megamind appears in the movie Megamind. The conflict between the two characters represents Freud’s conception of the “id”. The two are in a constant fight where Metro Man is seen as the hero who never fails and on the other hand, Megamind is hated and never wins against the city’s hero.
Freud depicts the id as the primal instinct in our minds to chase after what pleasures us and to give into desires. This is never more apparent than in both Metro Man and Megamind.
