How might technology affect health care communication in providing vital health care information to the public during a management crisis and during a management success?
I found a cool article about what is been refer to as mHealth Crisis Management Technology or it has also begin referred to as M.C.R (My Crisis Record.) This form of technology was introduce at the Asian wireless healthcare summit in Singapore by Gerald Theis this is the CEO behind this health care innovative platform this new form of healthcare technology is a digital record and health information exchange medical device data system that will function as a real time personal crisis health record and communication system for all.
The system is set up to allow all customers and providers to manage their own personal health crisis record either by their Smartphone, internet or stored on a portable USB flash drive. The reason I think this form of communication and crisis management technology is, so cool is because depending on the access whether it be via web or through the MCR’s universal smart phone app, any user can either print a hard copy of their medical history or by uploading directly onto their Smartphone a personal ID Crisis Card that will contain the consumers vital information however, what really grasp my attention about this communication technique is that the information is embedded within a QR code. When only scanned by a QR code scanner the code is then translated into readable text for the safety and security of your personal medical history. Which having these QR scanners in our ambulances, hospitals, and doctor offices will give them the most current and updated medical history on you in a time of a crisis. Plus for security reasons which I was concern with by having the use of the QR scanners this takes the headache from one losing their Smartphone and then someone having instant access to such sensitive and vital
