Have you ever wondered what it’s like to watch it live? For many Disney movies, that is possible. Many movies have been made into musicals and plays for people to enjoy. For instance, many of you may know the popular Disney movie, Aladdin. This is one of the most watched Disney movies. In fact, it was so popular that the producers decided to make a musical which like the movie, quickly sold out. The movie was released in 1992 and is an adaption of the book Tales from Arabian Nights The musical was released in July of 2011 at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle.
It is a 1988 film about Tracy Turnblad, a huge fan of The Corny Collins Show and of hairdos that require a lot of hairspray to stay in place. Auditions are held for The Corny Collins Show’s lead dancer after the old one had to leave. This leads to a chain of events that change Baltimore forever. Hairspray eventually inspired a musical in 2002. The music had to be changed for this production, as the music for the original film wasn’t musical music. It was more of dancing type music.
