Disney World Is No Longer Real
In the matrix humans are fed virtual reality so they are basically being taken over by artificial intelligence. Someone else gives them a reality. Disney world is a perfect example for the theory of Simulacra. It plays a lot of illusions and creates a lot of simulation within the amusement park. What attracts people and keeps them coming back is not the physical rides or attractions or even the delicious food, it’s the feeling they get when they are at Disney world that makes it. Disney land is there to make us believe that the rest of the world is real. Its not so much the false representation of reality but it’s the hiding of the fact that “the real is no longer real, and thus saving the reality principle” (reader pg. 73) The idea of Disney

    Throughout the entire theme park, it is divided between handfuls of different sections. Main Street, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Toon town, Adventureland, Frontierland are all very unique from each other; giving you a different experience each time.
