Syria is embroiled in a civil conflict that is tearing the country apart and the use of chemical weapons has made the US, France and Great Britain as well as the United Nations take issue with Syria. With the US occupied to its limit militarily there is little chance that an armed foreign intervention will take place. The status quo government stays in power and the rebels fight for…

The North Korean Crisis of 2013 was a rise of pressure between nation-states which included North and South Korea, U.S. and Japan that began after North Korea had launched a satellite. Following the launch, arguments were instantly created because at the request of the United States, the Security Council of the United Nations approved new sanctions against the North Korea under the accusation that the launch was in fact a test of a ballistic missile. The launch surprised many. Diverse world media including China, Russia and Japan reported that North Korea had entered the ranks of the countries able to manufacture and launch satellites in the world. The North American Aerospace Defence Command reported that both the satellite and the launcher and space debris "did not come to be factors threatening the security of the United States".…

Although the actions of Syrian President Bashir al-Assad can be considered unjust and inhumane by many because of his governmental censorship, the United States should not be involved because the crisis in Syria has been on-going, and it is possible that continued intervention by the U.S. will lead to a full fledged war, especially with the United States potentially angering neighbor of Syria, Russia. The United States military force was deployed in Syria in early 2013, and since then nearly 190,000 people have died, 20,000 being in the United States military.…

The United States was founded on economic and political freedom. This freedom enables all our citizens to successfully pursue unlimited opportunities to use their god given talents to work, produce, invest, take risk, and grow wealthy while keeping the prosperous fruits of their enterprise. Here we have state governments that are “laboratories of government” and a notional government that has more autonomy than the state government. The state governments have some type of autonomy but the national government is stronger even if they are not close to those individuals the serve.…

There are many different forms of government that exists in the world and one of those is Federal form of government. Federal states are political body described by combination of partially self-governing states or provinces united by a central (federal) government. Since early 2011 protestors have lined the streets of Syria putting on demonstrations calling for the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad. They were calling for an end to a nearly four decade ruling by Assad’s family, and the dispersion of the hardnosed Ba’ath Party. Shortly after these protests began Assad ordered the Syrian army to break up these demonstrations with the use of force and firing their weapons into the demonstrations. Thousands of innocent protestors were gunned down and after several months of this military onslaught the protestors and military defects formed together a rebel army to try. As this happened the rest of the world was looking in from the outside wondering what could be done to stop this war that seemingly had no meaning to it.…

George Orwell wrote that nationalism was one of the worst enemies of peace. He defined nationalism as the feeling that your way of life, country, or ethnic group were superior to others.
