Boston has been similarly successful with international needs in a way that Toronto has not. It also has a stronger public transportation system and more airports for more increased efficiency with tourism traffic. Half of the population of Toronto was born outside of Canada proving it to be very ethnically diverse. Even given the fact that Toronto lies in a region where many citizens speak both English and French, 47% of city residents have a native language apart from these two (Toronto Backgrounder). Philadelphia’s Independence Hall is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which naturally draws tourism. But Toronto has more large sports facilities and arenas, perfect for sports fans both during the Olympics and for other sporting events that could be held outside of
