The first commercial analyzed was a Hyundai commercial; it depicted a girl being picked up for a first date, as her father, played by comedian Kevin Hart, enthusiastically greets the young boy at the door he offers the keys to his new car. The boy graciously accepts, as the two take off to their first destination the father activates the “car finder” feature which is linked to his watch and quickly heads out the door as well. The car finder feature on the Hyundai gives parents the peace of mind of knowing where their children are at all times. The commercial featured all African American actors, and in the culture I come from African American culture tend to be more strict and controlling when it comes to raising children. I believe that to be a relatable expectation of the commercial. Additionally, a large societal influence is the use of technology and how the car, like the popular smart phones can serve multiple purposes. As I am almost certain the watch that the father was wearing was an Apple Watch. It is for those reasons that I believe that the societal factors were technology and family, and the use of the comedian was a source of entertainment, as the commercial was hilarious and
