Diverticulitis is found in 50-70% of people aged 80 years and older and 80% of the people with diverticulitis are age 50. Diverticulitis is not usually found in people younger than 40, Africans, and Asians. The most common regions diverticulitis affects is U.S.A., Europe, and Australia.
