According to parents of young adults, they often feel assured having their kids at home and not out at night. Depending on the time of night when the teen is making their way home will determine the safety they will be in going home. Teens tend to be safer coming home around 11 pm than 2 am. When coming home around 2 am teens and even adults have to worry about drunk drivers. "Dunk drivers create a life-threating hazard as they make their way home each night". Parents believe that having a curfew for teens to depend on will help them if and when they are in trouble and they don't know how to get their self into trouble, all they have to do is gracefully ask help from a parent or a responsible adult or their parent. …show more content…
Studies have shown that there is no true link between juvenile crimes and curfews. These restrictions also interfere with the liberty of the teens. Several factors have been ignored. For example, several teens may have a part-time job, requiring them to "violate" their
