On October 23, 1940 in Tres Coracoes, Brazil one of the best soccer players in the world was born his name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento also known as Pele. Pele has united the world through soccer. He has helped many people and charities. He was great at soccer and he wanted to make the the world a better place. He was against racism and wanted for people to be peaceful to one another and he want the world to be a peaceful place to live in. He had been awarded an international peace award because of how he loved and still loves to help others. Pele knew as he grew older that God had a mission for him. Pele took a stand by helping young kids have a dream.

Pele would have dreams of him playing soccer. He would even talk in his sleep and go crazy about scoring a goal. Pele grew up poor but he did try his best in everything he could do even if things did not work out the way he wanted them too. Pele is a superstar and will always be. Edson Arantes do Nascimento did not want fame he wanted to be a leader to kids who thought they had no future.
The impact Pele made was definitely long term he brought peace to the world and he technically saved people’s lives by donating money really valuable items. He helped people see what something so small can make a huge difference. By helping kids love soccer, it gives them something to do rather than get in trouble with the police. Pele also stood against racism and he wants all of us to treat everyone equal and he does not want to leave anybody behind or left
