Answer: “The was was over in 1945 and I was born in 1947. I saw movies growing up. My dad was in the Navy and he was on the destroyers. My dad worked a lathe, he built torpedoes. One time I even got one. I did know people in WWII. Answer: “I was at a high school pep-rally. I went to a Catholic all-boy high school. When we found out about Kennedy’s death, we began to pray. Then, I had too take the bus home. We went through …show more content…
I do not remember where I was. He again remembers watching it over and over again.
Question: Do you have any memories about segregation?
Answer: “Personally, I do not remember very much segregation because my family was very inclusive. I do remember riots in Rochester.
Question: Do you have any memories about the moon landing?
Answer: I had just gotten out of college. It was just before you mother was born. I remember watching it on tv, just hoping that Neil Armstrong and his crew would get liftoff. I remember what Neil said, “One small step for a man, a giant leap for mankind.” I remember when they landed, there was a lot of dust, jumping, and excitement.
Question: “Do you have any memories about the Challenger explosion?
Answer: I remember that the Challenger got delayed for six days because of weather and problems with the rocket. I remember being excited for the first civilian going on a rocket. It was very cold at the Kennedy Space Center so the engineers did not think that the o-rings would stay put. Obviously they were right. For about two to five years there were no rockets flying in the sky.”

Answer: I enjoyed playing with friends, having family parties, riding my bike, basketball, and sledding.

Answer: “I remember it was super shocking to hear. I remember the teacher coming to tellk the class. It was probably the most devastating thing I had ever heard because I had not lost anyone important in my life. My family followed the life of the Kennedy’s. I loved Caroline Kennedy, I used to sing her song “My Daddy’s President” in the front yard.”

Answer: “I lived in an all-white community in Minnesota. All I could react to wads what I saw on TV and the stories I heard. I could not imagine people being so rude to someone just because their skin is a different color.”
