This short documentary introduces five different individuals who suffer from dysphagia. As there are many different causes of dysphagia, the individuals included in this documentary have or acquired dysphagia as a result of sicknesses, injuries, neurological problems, and surgical complications. Moreover, this film overviews the lives and perspectives of these individuals and their families. Additionally, the medical perspective of dysphagia is discussed along with the most common and possible causations of dysphagia.

His mother, Elisa, explains throughout the documentary how incredibly complex their lives have become due to Ryder's condition. She explains that her son's situation has heavily impacted their social and family functions. Moreover, just a simple outing with the family is no longer simple because of the amount of preparation and equipment they need to do and bring along with them. This makes it incredibly difficult for them to ever leave the house. Furthermore, she explains the bizarre and shameful looks her and Ryder receive whenever she has to feed him in public.
