When one is buying a new lawnmower, a cordless electric mower is among the options presented. A cordless mower uses batteries instead of the normal electric power fed into the mower using an electric cord or by use of gas. Among the chief benefits of a cordless mower is that the user no longer has to worry about buying gas for the machine. The price of gas has been constantly on the increase making the use of batteries a better option. A cordless lawn thus saves the user money because instead of using the $3 - $5 on fuel, he can pay $5 for electricity that could power an electric cordless mower for almost a year. The reduction in cost does not only apply in purchase of gas, but also in the mower's maintenance.
