Does America Care About You
Does America care about you? Well, I think America doesn’t because America get’s engrossed in other country’s business. If America helped itself in it’s own problems instead of other countries problems, then, it might actually help solve the tons problems that America has occurred within the hundreds years it’s been a country. America should help the poor in it’s own country instead of the poor in other countries. We have homeless and starving in our streets too, that need to be helped. We are in gigantic debt that is getting bigger and bigger everyday and probably won’t ever diminish. Other countries are countries so what’s wrong with them helping themselves. No one has helped the U.S. We are in one of the biggest debts in the world or biggest and know one has helped us with the debt. No one has helped us with our poor and homeless. The only help the U.S. has ever had was when they were at war. Some countries need it more you might say. Well, in my opinion, if it's that size of a problem then they can fix it themselves instead of hoping some other country can do it. We also have several of problems that need fixing that America is fixing. …show more content…
You could say this, but actually you’re wrong. According to USA today 7 out of 10 Americans (69%) don’t even have more than $1000 dollars in their bank account (Sean Williams). Also, we are in 19.8 trillion debt (“National Debt”). America is definitely poor, but it is not widely known and that is why you are saying that America isn’t that poor. 35% of Americans don’t even have a dime in their bank account (probably because they don’t use banks) (Sean Williams). America shouldn’t help help the poor in other countries. America should help the poor in it’s country. Who has helped us? America is poor. People don’t know much about America’s total wealth the only subject that they do know is the debt which I don’t

A part of this that people may not recognize is that when the economy is weak, the poorest countries suffer the most. $1 dollar can help a hundred people in a poor country more than it can help someone in a rich or developed country. Although we have stronger affinity towards our citizens and if money was equally effective we would choose our own citizens first, when it’s 100 times more effective in impacting lives,…

For as long as humans have lived on this earth, we have found a need to help other humans that are less fortunate than us. From the reign of Augustus in the Roman Empire, to today’s controversial welfare policies in the United States, history has recorded the charitable actions of society to provide for those that cannot provide for themselves. The United States has always practiced some sort of welfare policy since the beginning of colonial times. When the colonists migrated to the future United States from England, they brought with them a set of welfare policies known as the British Poor Laws. Under these laws, citizens who had health problems that prevented work were given cash or alternative forms of assistance from the government. Citizens who were healthy but out of work were given public service work. Today those “poor laws”…

The whole world is affected by The United States' inability to restrain themselves in the meddling with other countries' affairs. After the time of World War II, the United States has been going into other countries, in attempt to fix their conflicts. Not only is everyone else affected by these acts, but the Untied States itself is affected as well. An anonymous user on Debate.org stated that, "If we keep what we have here, we can work out our national debt and we can become more of what we were in past years." They go on to mention how we could make our own higher quality products instead of importing them from other countries. The cost of going to war, or giving third world countries money that the United States is barrowing ends up being mind boggling. If the United States would just stay within their own borders, then it could address the current issues they have inside of their own country. The main issue that needs attention is the economical debt.…

People struggle to survive every day in poverty. People who are less fortunate do not feel like they have freedom of justice. A lot of the people in our society just simply do not care about the people who are in need. Of course we do have our churches and charities who lend a helping hand, but what about the people who are not necessarily poor, like the orphanages or women's shelters. In a worldly view we have children who are not able to attend school and people who cannot work so they cannot provide for their families. A lot of third world countries are poor due to their corrupt governments who take from them and do not give back. Americans are spoiled. Some of us even suffer from obesity. We tend to take advantage of just how great the American lifestyle is, being able to work, go to school, have fresh clean water and food available etc. For those who are less fortunate here in America there is hope because we have a government that provides for them, versus those who do not have helpful government. To end hunger and poverty, I believe that people must simply care ENOUGH to REALLY HELP those in need. If everyone cared about their less fortunate neighbor and really helped them to the best of their ability, then they would be free from the binds of poverty. Throughout history, Greed has driven people to evil and hatred because the love of money is the root of all evil. “Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive…

The act of charity is something that most people are raised on; if a person has been blessed with wealth, it is always good to help those less fortunate. However, there comes a time when too much is too much. The United States, among other countries, developed the practice of foreign aid after World War II. It was designed to help those countries in desperate need of temporary help when they could not manage on their own. Foreign aid is something that has been in effect over the last few decades and…

36% of Africans live on less than a dollar a day. 20% of the population is undernourished. However, people in foreign countries can help the poorer people by donating to trustworthy charities, and giving aid to the poor Africans who need it the most. Critics of aid say that giving aid to Africans creates stereotypes and doesn’t focus on creating a good economy of government. But it is more important to keep people alive than to create a good government and economy. You need able, healthy citizens to create a good workforce for a country, which is extremely difficult in Sub-Saharan Africa without foreign aid. Aid is needed in Africa because many people would die, it helps to get better death rates and accessible healthcare, and giving aid to keep people alive is more important that improving government.…

We see homeless people every day, asking for money for food or even just food. Have you ever wondered how these people got into these situations? Some of those people used to be doctors and lawyers and just feel on some hard times where they can’t provide for them nor their families. It’s ironic to think that America is one of the wealthiest nations, yet we have a very high number of people who cannot provide food for their families. Like we see with other countries, hunger in America isn’t there because a lack of food, but it’s there because poverty is affecting America more and more each day.…
