ABSTRACT
Does culture affect cork situation between different countries because of their culture values?
We chose this subject because it often constitutes a matter of understanding in most of the biggest companies in the world. The culture is something hard to evaluate and to explain. Most of people who decided to work in another country are exposed to its culture. At this time, there is always a culture shock, which is created by the critical incident: the contact between two different cultures.
The problem that we’re trying to solve is given a global understanding of culture using the appropriate tools. We’re going to have a generalized approach of the problem first by analysing the culture at work. Then we will try to make it more specific by target our subject in different areas. These areas will be the behaviour of culture in the societal norm that means the behaviour of persons in the society and in the family. To analyse these different areas and solve the problem, we’re going to use specific tools for a specific subject. These tools are the five cultural dimensions highlight by Geert HOFSTEDE, a brilliant psychologist renamed for his work on the different cultural approaches. These five dimensions are going to help us to understand and analyse our problem. We’re going to solve the problem by using the values that these dimensions are made off.
