Does Kevin Argue Technology As The Seventh Kingdome?
Kevin makes good comparison between organisms and technology. They both are evolving to complexity, specialization, diversity, and socialism. But I don’t agree with his assertion on assuming technology as the seventh Kingdome. To put technology as the seventh Kingdome, I think it lucks some of the characteristics that these organisms have. Biology classifications of kingdoms are based on genes, which is hard to think of technology as having gene. Organisms can stand without a host to operate whereas technology needs humans. Another distinction I can think of is that organisms have life or they are living things. Based on the definition of living things (life), technology doesn’t seem like a living thing or has life.
