Threshold is when someone does things because they follow what others do. Everyone has a different threshold that makes them act out differently depending on how they are, you can either have a low or high threshold. In the article “THRESHOLDS OF VIOLENCE” by Malcolm Gladwell he mentions “Social processes are driven by our thresholds which he defined as the number of people who need to be doing some activity before we agree to join them” (Gladwell 128). For example a person who already wants to be violent will act out that way having a high threshold and another person would have to see others do it first for them to be convinced, which means having a low threshold.
