Those who are on the inside know how these facilities operates. These individuals knows that’s being incarcerated sometimes doesn’t teaches them as much as they thought it would. In the film a young lady by the name of Demetira, was introduced. She was placed in a juvenile shelter for her behavioral issues and the assault of a family member. Her behavioral issues has now become a source of how she reacts to everything, such as losing her mom at a young age. She feels like no one has her back the way she wished they would. Losing a mom is very tough on her. Demetria was then placed in a detention center, where more forceful actions will later takes place. The film presented individuals who are less harm to society than a person who is more harmful to it. Those issue that could be solved by creating centers for people with substance abuse, behavioral issues having mentors that will be an important source to those trying to find their way back into a world that was once against. The system is set up in a way to allow individuals to fail because there’s nothing out there for them to do. If that individual wanted a source of money the only way was to turn to violence and that now puts them back into a facility which is only going to make matters
