Don't Get Me Started On... Public Transport
Public Transport is dreadful! They are always either late, delayed, having engineering work or on strike! More that half of the population in London have complained about the public transport in their area but the thing is there is nothing we can do about it. So much money is spent on the public transport, but then why is it there is so many flaws to it and its always running late?

Public Transport is used by thousands of people each day, that would explain why every time I get on a bus or train half of England want to get on too! It is always so crowded you cannot squash another person on but they try their hardest to. Also, if you are one of the lucky ones that manage to get a seat, it is just as bad as standing due to you having a complete stranger's rear end right in your face!

Another thing I find about Public Transport is, on the rare occasion you actually get a seat it's usually next to someone that hasn't washed in a decade, adding to the usual aroma of urine and sweat. What have you never seen a bathroom before? I don't know about you but personally I'd rather walk...

Many students and workers depend on Public Transport to get them to and from their workplace, however it has been proven 8 out of 10 people that work in and around London have been at least half an hour late due to the public transport being delayed or on strikes. This is unacceptable, I bet if David Cameron had to travel around on the train he would just have to snap his fingers and the problem would be

I think everyone would agree with me that the local government should do something about those unreliable bus services. Here is the reason why I, and possible a lot of other people despise buses. So there you are waiting at a bus stop in the cold and it’s raining and you know exactly that you’re on time, waiting to be rescued from this terrible cold weather, but wait! You look at when your bus is coming; it says 7:55 am. So you say oh well only 5 minutes late. 10 minutes later you look at your watch, it says 8:10am but there is no sign of a bus. Obviously you will be standing there looking straight ahead, looking at the direction it normally comes from, you think it is around the corner. Meanwhile you still stand there, looking at your watch, it is 8:20 but the bus is still not here. As every other human being you start to get impatient especially as your standing in the cold and don’t forget it’s raining. You look at your watch and it is nearly 8:25 but the bus is still not here! Then you check when the next bus will normally arrive, then the next thing you see is your bus finally arriving but in pairs. So as usual when your bus arrives ‘super galactic’ late, they then usual arrive in pairs, now isn’t that hilarious? Also some are not in service and some just drive past you like you were never there.…

London, Birmingham, Manchester all has public transport and they are all horrendous. Don’t get me started on, if they are road works going on, strikes, and trains getting cancelled .The things which annoy me about public transport are, let’s take buses for example: Buses they are awful! On one December morning as you stand in the freezing cold as it rains and drip drop drip as the rain falls on you, your nose red as a tomato and your finger tips frozen as ice waiting for a bus, do you agree with me or not? As you just wait for the big bright lights to shine fiercely and to glow in the distance as you wait patiently. Trains are better but they still have negatives just like buses, with trains you just can’t even be a minute late because the train is just not going to wait, as you are running 100 miles per hour just like an athlete Usain Bolt as he runs like a cheetah and sprints cross the track.…

Toronto’s transportation is probably known throughout the world because when tourists for example French tourists can go to opposite ends of the city within minutes and when they’re on board the TTC they know they’re in for a long ride. I can’t help but to get frustrated when I get up in the morning and see not one but 2 buses bumper’s touching each other past the stop I get on and wonder why, TTC god are you hurting me I was a good kid all year why must I be punished so brutally. Every bus in my neighbourhood is approximately 10 minutes apart so if I do some math I’m out 20 minutes and ready to give Reshma that late slip. The TTC needs to generally improve their busing system throughout the city especially where I live.…

Every citizen in every city, town, state and borough all around the world use public transport on a day-to-day basis. Surely this would indicate that at least one city, town, state or borough in the whole world would be able to successfully reach a bus stop on time. That would make sense wouldn’t it? However, wherever you go in the world – whether that be in London, New York, Paris or Tokyo – I am certain you would find one thing in common with their public transport system; they are all utterly horrendous. This fact is true even without all the additional problems, and there are quite a few of those, to say the least. If you have the great misfortune to live or work in London, you will know that public transport workers can’t go a week without declaring they will be going on strike about one thing or another. “What’s the problem now?” and “What are they complaining about this time?” are frequent questions you will hear floating around London; like the grey, smoky fog that lingers in its once blue skies. As if this wasn’t enough, you then have road works and cancelled trains to contend with. And don’t even get me started on taxi’s supposedly taking the ‘’short cut’’.…

People prefer private cars over public transport for several reasons. Firstly, private cars are believed to be faster than public transport since people don’t have to spend their precious time waiting for a bus. In addition, bus-shelters are usually crammed with people. Secondly, you can go directly from work to home much faster. Furthermore, there are people who don’t like to share places with unknown persons or they don’t like to be standing up during their journey. For instance, when taking a bus in rush hours it is very difficult to find a spare seat and eventually you end up grasping a hand bar and trying to keep your balance so as not be flung around when the bus brakes.…

However, one of the disadvantages is that using public transport is inconvenient. It can be crowded. For instance, there are always too many individuals on the same bus in rush hour. Maybe thieves are on the bus they take. The public transport does not operate 24 hours a day. People have to follow the time table, so they must wait for it. Furthermore, sometimes, it does not travel to the suburbs, so individuals have to walk for a long time to reach the place they want to go. If people have an important work at the suburb, it is inconvenient.…
