Dona Nobis Pacem Analysis

The service began with “Dona Nobis Pacem”, by Carl Nyberg. This song means to grant us peace, which included a powerful meaning and message behind it. The piano and the organ were performed in this piece. The men sung in alto, while the women sung in soprano. This piece also involved a cello, which made it sound more beautifully. Next, they performed a song called “Draw Me Near” which is by Mary McDonald. This song was sung by a soloist that had a very beautiful voice, which she executed it so wonderfully. This song only involved the piano, which made it more upbeat. The service continued with “Peace I Give to You” by Craig Courtney, which was performed by a violinist.
