    Jerry Rice Biography

Jerry’s success started when he was young and decided he wanted to work hard enough to achieve what he wanted to achieve. Jerry Rice was born and raised in Starkville, Mississippi, as the son of a brick mason. He developed his hands while working for his father. Jerry caught bricks with one hand and two hands teaching him hand eye coordination at a young age. Another attribute to Jerry’s success when he was young he ran to school and home from school everyday. This was a 5 mile trip there and 5 miles back. One more story that was believed to be true about Jerry is one day in school the principle saw Jerry running in the hall. According to his book "Rice" (written with Michael Silver), the principal tracked him down for skipping class,[3] but when he called his name the startled Rice sprinted off running, after seeing him run, the principal decided to let him join the football team or be punished. Jerry decided upon football and the principal told the school's football coach about his speed. The truthfulness of this story has been questioned. This was believed to spark Jerry’s very successful football career. From hear on out it was like he was on a mission to basically define success and show people you don’t have to be the fastest or biggest you just have to strive for what you want with hard work and dedication. In High school Jerry caught the eyes of college scouts from numerous division 1-aa schools around his area. Jerry Rice attended Mississippi Valley State University from 1980–1984. He became a standout receiver and acquired the nickname "World", because there wasn't a ball in the world he couldn't catch. Statistics from his college career are sparse, but the College Football Hall of Fame website claims that Rice, as a sophomore in 1982, caught 66 passes for 1,133 yards and 7 touchdowns. That was his first season playing with redshirt freshman quarterback Willie Totten, nicknamed "Satellite". Together, Totten and Rice would become known as "The Satellite…

    80 yard run

A mans football career is never remembered by what he does at practice. It might be remembered for a day but never a lifetime. Football is judged by what you do on the field when a war between two teams is at hand. Christian did not have many long runs in his life while playing running back. I think this is why an eighty-yard run was so important to him at practice. He was trying to make his legacy in life more about football rather than something else better than that. Football is not all that people make it out to be, yes if you are great you may get the fame and fortune but the chance of that happening are slim to none. Football is a sport that is terrible on the body no matter what the age of person playing is. All is does is beat your body every single day but that is why some people love it. Football was all Christian knew and he makes it out to be that it is the only thing he loved in life. He wanted to be running the ball every down rather than blocking and wants to be making the big plays rather than going unnoticed. What he does not realize is the fact that football is a team sport and not everyone gets the glory. Linemen block every single play and they have no glory that comes from I but they still do their job. The real glory of football is walking off the field after every game knowing you did all you could do to help your team win. That is the true meaning…

Many know Tebow for his fantastic football career, but this has tremendously overshadowed how great of a person Tebow is, and how humble he is. After Tebow got his first NFL playoff win, in his press conference, he offered praise to God, not boast about his skills like lots of athletes do nowadays. He also took time out of his extremely busy schedule to go on a mission’s trip to the Philippines. On this trip he funded and helped build the “Tebow CURE Hospital” which has treated 3,300 children who are in poverty. Now, he is working on a worldwide prom for kids with special needs. The last prom had over 75,000 people in attendance at over 350 churches. Tebow says that he wants those with special needs to be recognized because God has a plan for them. Being a star athlete is hard enough, but inspiring and helping the world’s youth is even harder. Something else Tim Tebow does is put bible verses on his eye black for games rather than fancy designs or cool visors. He does this to give credit where it’s due, to God! Tim has worked extremely hard to be the elite athlete that he is, but he knows that if it had not been for God, he would have none of his accomplishments that he has today. On one instance Tebow wore eye black that said “John 3:16”, this game was deemed the 3:16 game because Tebow threw for 316 yards, had 31.6 yards per completion, 3.16 yards per rush, his teams time of possession was 31.6…

On that car ride Donald forgave Pete and Pete didn't respond but he felt guilty.…
