Donald Trump an Embarrassment to our Country as a President Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States of America has shown no clue about one of the subject he should have known; The history of the country he is governing, The United States of America.
Seeing President Donald Trump talk, and burp all his comments without filter, I cannot help, but to think about a movie name “Idiocracy”, with the actor Luke Wilson. A looser who goes 500 years in the future, and he is the smartest person in the world. He reminds me about that movie. Last week, one of the most bizarre conversation yet, it took place in an interview with Salena Zito from “Main Street Meets the Belt way” of course it …show more content…
went all over the media. everywhere in the news. There were even jokes about it! I have laughed so much, however, still there is an embarrassment, some citizens do not care, others like myself I do. I had to study and learn about the United States, I even had a book “Learn about the United States” Quick Civic Lessons for the Naturalization Test; Question N 74. Name one problem that led to the Civil War.
This is the actual comment he gave, without knowledge. Perhaps he feels no one knows Andrew Jackson had died in 1845, 16 years earlier. The Civil War started in the year 1861.
“I mean, had Andrew Jackson been a little later, you wouldn't have had the Civil War.
He was a very tough person, but he had a big heart. He was really angry that he saw what was happening with regard to the Civil War, he said, 'There's no reason for this.' People don't realize, you know, the Civil War, if you think about it, why? People don't ask that question, but why was there the Civil War? Why could that one not have been worked out?" — Donald Trump.
Well Mr. President I will give you three reasons why was the Civil War;
ANSWER: 1. Slavery 2. Economic Reasons 3. State’s Rights We have a President who is very loose with words, he cannot research first; take notes; look in the computer; for heaven sakes GOOGLE IT! In the Black History Month Donald Trump, yet talked about Frederik Douglas as he was still alive. Had no much to add to his comment except to say;
“Frederick Douglass is an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job and is getting recognized more and more, I notice,” -Donald Trump.
Before we try to understand other countries problems, we must learn our history. I realized many people in United States, have little knowledge about their own
history. We should learn more about our own chaos; adversities; what makes us as a nation; the Spanish, French and Britain colonies in United States; The real reason of Cinco de Mayo and why Mexican battled with the French soldiers. The Slavery; How slaves in contrast with immigrants, we had a choice to come to United States; we wanted to come here. The slaves were free in their home, they became Slave upon arriving and sold; those human lives were dragged out of their home, their families and land. They did not have a choice.
Our President must have knowledge about every history in the World. He should be someone that we look up to. We should feel proud when our President have meeting with other Leaders.
Our best way to combat ignorance is by educating ourselves. Read and investigate do research. Don’t just believe everyone, become skeptical, doubt a little; have that desire of have more knowledge and take as an example the current president we have in the government, how his ignorance is a joke of every late-night show, however, is not a joke; although we laugh.
I must finish with my favorite quote,
“We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid” Benjamin Franklyn.
