There was McCarthy communist “witch-hunt ” of the sixties; the series of illegal activities associated with the Watergate scandal, and most recently the illegal the National Security Agencies illegal monitoring of citizens, borough to light by Edward Snowden. “Edward Snowden, Whistler- Blower” by The Editorial Board offers a sympathetic perspective at the noble effort and plight of Edward Snowden who is currently in hiding to avoid criminal charges for exposing the National Security Agency’s unlawful collection of personal information of citizens, including email messages and information about phone calls. The Editorial Board argues that Snowden should not be punished for his actions. Although his actions were illicit by law the article claims “When someone reveals that government officials have deliberately broken the law, that person should not face life in prison at the hands of the same government.” Despite some who believe that Snowden should be punished for the illegal release I too believe that people who reveal injustices should not face criminal charges if their means in releasing the information resulted in no harm.…

It was interesting to hear Donald Trumps' New York speech, the most confusing and scary part of the speech is when he stated that " this political stuff is hard." What did he expect the role of the President would be. A person who runs the country does not do so easily, there are decision that must be made that requires one to be resilient despite the outcome. I do, however, understand that just as President Obama posed as a model figure to many people both of color and not, President elect Trump posses as the same figure for many Americans. I do not believe that president Trump can fulfill majority of his promises to the American people, my fear lies in the people who believe that they can fulfill those promises for him. Such as segregation of the Mexican people by…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…
