Dont get me started on smokers/smoking
Don’t get me started on smoking….

Smoking, don’t you just hate it! Don't get me started on smokers too! What is the point in spending hundreds or even thousands of pounds a year on a box of pointless cigarettes? Smokers may as well throw all the money they own down the drain! A better more cleaver idea would be to save the money and buy something more useful and maybe go on a well-deserved holiday!. You’ll always seem to find that one selfish, lowlife of a person who constantly throws their money toward tobacco, cigarettes or even weed and couldn't care less about their own family or friends. And if you smoke around young children not only does it give them a negative influence, but it also puts them at the risk of health problems like cancer, which will most likely kill you or your child.

Every year millions or even billions of pounds are wasted on cigarettes, tobacco and weed then there are children starving around the world which need that money more than you! Some children can’t even afford to survive on basic rations, yet people are selfish enough to satisfy their disgusting habit than save a child’s life.

Smoking cigarettes can affect the appearance of both you and your home; some people will instantly be able to tell if you smoke when they enter your home, not only by the smell but by the appearance of your home, as it would look misty while ashtrays are scattered around with ash on the furniture. Smoking causes your teeth to become discoloured, and your teeth can deteriorate leaving just your gum. Smoking cigarettes will also cause you to have bad breath, which could turn into a more serious problem and anyway who wants to be stinking of cigarettes? I defiantly wouldn’t want to. The smoke coming off of the cigarette itself can cause your fingernails to turn yellowish in colour, which it disgusting not to mention that it makes your hands look filthy. When there is too much nicotine in your body it can also start to make your skin turn a pale

Smoking is a very dirty habit. First cigarettes have waste in the form of paper and filters, called butts, that are left behind to lay around and litter, the streets, sidewalks, and landfills. It stains walls, windows, clothes, hair, and even your skin. It is very difficult to clean off. Last the ashtrays and ashes are disgusting, the ashtrays stink and look dirty no matter what you do. The ashes fly everywhere and make a mess. Flying ashes can also lead to the next problem.…

The Center for disease Control reports that cigarette smoke causes more than 480,000 deaths each year in the United States. This is about one in five deaths. The center adds that smoking causes more deaths every year than Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor vehicle injuries, and firearm- related incidents. With this being a known fact there are still smokers in today’s world. The question that should be asked is why do people smoke cigarettes despite their proven dangers? Smoking cannot only damage or bring harm to every organ in the human body, but it can cause countless diseases. If people just stopped smoking altogether, they would decrease the risk of smoke-related diseases and most importantly…

Recently, cigarettes have been getting a bad rap. No one seems to understand that the real problem at hand is not the negative effects of smoking cigarettes, but those who abstain from smoking cigarettes. These people are nothing but a nuisance, a lousy bunch of no-gooders that just want to ruin your fun. In fact, smoking cigarettes is an activity that the entire population can benefit from. The world relies on the production and consumption of tobacco, and there are many positives of smoking that outweigh the negatives. For example, smokers dedicate a large portion of their life buying packs upon packs of cigarettes, which in turn gives a huge profit to the country. Surely if you consider yourself a patriot, you would take up smoking cigarettes. These non-smokers are the exact opposite, and will remind you of the risks of cancer and other diseases from smoking; but no one truly wants to live forever, and if you smoke, you won’t have to. You will also most likely notice how unpopular and unattractive these non-smokers are compared to those who smoke. It’s a well known fact that smoking makes people look better, as it gives people a rebellious, non-conformist persona. So, taking everything into account, you should smoke because it increases the wealth of the economy, it helps end an otherwise meaningless life, and you’ll look cool doing it.…

Smoking is a major issue because it's the main source of death on the planet higher than infectious disease, greater then obesity, greater than guns (Share Care). Each year tobacco is killing more than 6 million people around the world (World Health Organization). Three of the primary reasons youngsters smoke to look experienced, to resemble their companions, and to analyze (From the First to the Last Ash: The History, Economics and Hazards of Tobacco). In America, we have a problem that is harming our nation. Our citizens are allowed to poison their bodies on a daily basis. The problem to be addressed is the sale and distribution of cigarettes. The production and sale of cigarettes should be made illegal. This problem is one that we as Americans should not have the right to partake in. Our government does not allow the production and sale of other drugs such as cocaine, heroin, or even less deadly drugs like marijuana. Cigarettes are packaged with a clear warning such as SURGEON GENERAL 'S WARNING: Smoking Causes Lung Cancer, Heart Disease, Emphysema, and May Complicate Pregnancy, SURGEON GENERAL 'S WARNING: Smoking By Pregnant Women May Result in Fetal Injury, Premature Birth, And Low Birth Weight, and SURGEON GENERAL 'S WARNING: Cigarette Smoke Contains Carbon Monoxide. Although in general, people have the right to do as they wish, this right can be taken away if it infringes on the rights of others. There are many ways that others end up paying for the simple act of smoking. One way that nonsmokers can be harmed is by the second hand smoke from cigarettes. The children of smokers are more likely to contract a respiratory infection, and they have a slightly smaller increase in lung growth as they mature (From the First to the Last Ash). Secondly, the burden of healthcare for those who were careless enough to smoke is placed on the tax payers. Another reason that cigarette smoke is hazardous is because it pollutes the environment. These scenarios violate the free will of citizens, and they could be fixed simply by banning the sale of cigarettes.…

It is estimated that each year in England around 340,000 children under the age of 16 who have never smoked before try smoking cigarettes (Department of Health, 209). Every year, around 200,000 children and young people start smoking regularly (HM Government, 2010).Of these 67% start before the age of 18 and 84% by age 19 (Robinson & Bugler, 2008). The annual Government survey of smoking among secondary school pupils defines regular smoking as smoking at least one cigarette a week. However, in 2011 pupils classified as regular smokers smoked a mean (average) of 35.6 cigarettes a week, approximately five a day. Occasional smokers consumed on average 3.5 cigarettes a week (ICHS, 2012).The number of cigarettes smoked by both regular and occasional smokers have fallen significantly since 2007. The proportion of children who have ever smoked continues to decline. In 2011, 25% of 11-15 year olds had smoked at least once, the lowest proportion since the survey began in 1982 when 53% had tried smoking (ICHS, 2012). Previously, girls had been more likely than boys to have ever smoked and to be regular smokers. However, in 2011, a similar proportion of boys and girls said they had tried smoking (25% and 26% respectively.) The prevalence of regular smoking increases with age, from less than 0.5% of 11 year olds to 11% of 15 years old.…

In the UK around 10 million people smoke, this is roughly 30% of the population. Smoking is a habit which can stunt good health yet millions continue to smoke. A smoking habit of 20 cigarettes a day can cost an individual roughly £1800 per year. Smoking doesn’t just cause the smoker to smell but rather creates many health problems for the individual and those around them. Yes, the nicotine within the cigarettes is addictive, many were peer pressured into smoking and some even started smoking before they found out that it wasn’t good for them but this is a habit that can be stopped. It requires patience and perseverance but it is possible. Yet figures of people smoking are still extremely high. It is up to the individual to stop smoking; whilst the government can provide support they cannot stand over the individual telling them what they can and cannot do. That is up to the individual. The NHS stated that “Women smokers are five times more likely to be killed by their habit today than in the 1960s” but why is this? Research found an increasing difference in mortality between women smokers and women that don’t smoke since the 1960s. The increase can…

I have people in my life who smoke cigarettes on a day to day basis. It’s mostly family. I see them everyday lighting up another “deathstick” and it kills me to let them do that. They know the risks of smoking so telling them would not do any good. My Grandmother who has been smoking for the most of her life is now seventy-nine. She and her husband have to carry around oxygen tanks because they struggle to breathe. They physically can’t breathe without a certain apparatus to keep them alive. One of the very few things in life we need to survive is oxygen and they ruined the thing that could give it to…
