During the early plan, government wanted to build Mirabel International Airport at the south of Montreal but the approach would fly in United State airspace. Thus, United State might asked for return. In order to avoid the profit sharing, the government had decided to place the new airport at Montreal – northwest of Dorval and Montreal. Hence, another issued arise due to the distance problem. The poor transportation facilities also contributed to the downturn of Mirabel International Airport. Quebec provincial government and federal government were scuttled construction of a rapid transit system and multi-lane highway from Mirabel to city center and Dorval airport. Thus, the tourist or traveler will had a long and disappointing drives on the two as already overtaxed expressway. The main purpose of taxes is to finance public activities however the basic question is did the government collecting sufficient revenue to give back to the society or not. When the number of taxes were reduced, the national debt will increased and it would affect the national budget.
