Imagine you are trapped in a house of a murdered woman. And her murderer was just a few inches away from you, but “luckily” you are hidden from view. You found your way in but seemingly you can’t get out. What would you do?
The book Down the Rabbit Hole by Peter Abrahams takes place in a small town called Echo Falls in Philadelphia. Ingrid was walking to soccer practice and got lost. That’s when she met Cracked Up Katie. She was considered the town crazy and lived alone. A few days later after they met, Cracked Up Katie turns up murdered in her own house and a full on police investigation is starting up. “things are getting curiouser and curiouser in Ingrid’s little home town” Ingrid is finicky about whether she should talk to the police or not, but then one day she realized that she left her favorite soccer cleats in Katie’s house. And that’s when she makes up her mind. She starts finding clues and finding out things about the town she lives in. But once she finds Katie’s true killer she must fight for her own life to bring him to justice.
Ingrid and I share a strong passion for reading. Her idol is Sherlock Holmes and she has read his entire book collection, but I on the other hand haven’t read any of his books. Also, as she has been locked in a home I have been locked out… many times. And that’s pretty much the only thing we have in common because her sheer braveness and instinct are very unique to find in a person so young. I was so intrigued by this book that I found it impossible to put down. I literally finished it in a few hours. This book is a good read for any one who likes action, suspense, mystery, or just a plain good
