This project was one of the most ambitious and promising for Lebanon. The company Solidere succesfuly reconstructed the DT making it as beautiful and sophisticated as in Europe or in America .It has become the home of the big brands,international association and government institutions. The final result is outstanding, the new zeytuna bay is full of yacht and show the visitors how rich and glamourous Beirut is, the new souks is full of luxury stores like Hermes, Gucci and all you can imagine ! But who is really benefiting of all this. In fact this new downtown is really expensive and in opposition to the old one seems to only be destinated to the rich, restaurant are unaffordable going to 100$ a persons, apartments are between the most expensive in the world making DT look like a Ghost city.
