Dr Drinker Video Analysis
1. What, in detail, did you learn from Dr. Rinker video?
In the Dr. Rinker video I have learned that religion can be a part of problems that the united States is facing today, in an event such as a domestic terrorist attack; if it wasn't for religion none of them would happen. The second thing I have learned from the video is that Islam is not a true religion because of terrorist conduct their operations in the name of Islam, and murder thousand of innocent people in the name of religion.
2. Explain your view of terrorism from a psychological perspective and then a sociological perspective.
Terrorism is a bad thing. I can't go outside without thinking I may not come back from school. When I think about terrorism, it makes me fearful of many
things. When you look at what's happening in Europe and how terrorist attack are happening more often, you can see why people are afraid of losing their lives. The goal for terror is to make people fearful of imminent danger, however, different terror groups have different political ends so depending on the group, they want the victims to see why the victims are somehow perpetrators as well. Victims have considered causalities or often as accessories to the crimes the terrorist are upset about and the victims are made to feel as if they are somehow deserving of the terror.
3. Review all of the material in the modules and what in the material did you find significant for understanding terrorism.
One thing I find very significant is the Iranian revolution since that revolution Iran has become a major power they are driven by the ideology of their revolution in supporting terrorist that they believe will spread theocratic Islam States such as their own throughout the Muslim world however without the revolution Iran would have remained a relatively secular country. Instead, their ideology inspired them to broke global terrorism and war.
4. How has taking this class influenced your perspective of your value?
Taking this class is one of the greatest decision I ever made in my life, I have learned a lot about terrorism how they commit their crime against innocent people and a lot of other information I didn't know about them also, I have learned from this class that I have to be ready all the time if something bad happens to me when I'm outside. Before I was afraid however after taking this course I think that I'm ready for anything that may happen. I hope that I can take a course like this again in the future so that I can have a better understanding of terrorism.
