Dr. Farmer: Film Analysis
In the film Dr. Farmer hit and killed a hog with his car, and he offered his entire monthly salary to the man who owned the hog. They asked him for twenty five dollars and he said he did not have that much money with him. The two men gave him a look and threatened him. I think Dr. Farmer acted this way because he did not want him or his family to get hurt, since they were sitting right behind him in the car. His family’s safety was more important to him than any amount of money. He did not argue or complain and he simply just signed the check. He said the least he could, and listening to whatever the two men said.
The two men slyly threatened him by taking out weapons. I think this was the “smart” thing to do at that time, because how people
