In William Shakespere's play "Macbeth" makes his own decisions. Macbeth says "stars hide your tires, let not light see my black and deep desires. This means Macbeth is deciding on becoming king. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson leaves the reader to ponder whether not Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are the same person or two different people. The book describes several commonalities and differences between Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The differences and commonalities are not just found in the physical description of the characters but also in their personalities and their actions. It is my opinion that Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are in fact one person with two separate personalities.…

People must make seemingly impossible choices for the benefit of their friends. John Steinbeck has a perfect example of this in his book Of Mice and Men. Two characters, Lennie and George, share an unbreakable bond, but when Lennie makes a grave mistake George must make an impossible decision for the sake of his friend. The ultimate choice George makes in the end for his friend Lennie is unthinkably terrible. However, his choice is also justifiable because he made his decision based on what was going to be best for Lennie.…
To first understand my dilemma, one must understand what a moral dilemma is. A moral dilemma is when a person my make a difficult choice or decision on something that could affect their life. And the choice that is made is something (at least in my experience) that will stay with you for the rest of your life. A Bullet in the Brain, by Tobias Wolff, is a short story published in 1995. The story’s main protagonist Anders, is a book critic by profession but shows that he is also critic of the world around him. Anders happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time in this story and finds himself in the middle of a robbery at his local bank. He is ultimately shot in the head by a robber, due to his smug attitude. The story goes on to explore major events in his life, that oddly do not manifest as memories but one seemingly insignificant moment invades his last, dying thoughts. Anders character is an unlikeable fellow, and his disposition makes it difficult for the reader to muster any compassion for him, or to feel concerned about what this dying man’s thoughts might be.…
One of the most difficult trials I face in my life are ethical and moral dilemmas. An ethical dilemma is more consistent with my everyday life than a moral dilemma. Ethical dilemma is defined as situations in which there is a choice to be made between two options, neither of which resolves the situation in an ethically acceptable fashion. Every day I am faced with decisions of right and wrong most of which are easily and correctly dealt with. Sometimes decisions need to be made that are not easy or clear, however they require thought and often prayer.…

In this paper I wish to discuss a presented moral dilemma and explain what I would do in the same situation.…
