Saint José Ramón Agustín Pro Juárez, also known as Saint Miguel Pro, was born on January 13, 1891, in Guadalupe, Mexico. He was one of eleven children, the oldest boy. Sadly, four of his siblings died as babies or young children. From an early age, he was heartily spiritual, as well as mischievous; he constantly entertained his family with his humor and practical jokes. St. Miguel was a dauntless child and sometimes took his pranks and fun too far, putting him in several near-death mishaps. The third oldest in his family, St. Miguel was unquestionably very close with his older sister. After she entered a convent at age 20, he started to recognize his own calling to the priesthood. Though his father wanted him to continue with the family business, Miguel lived for God and entered the Jesuit novitiate in El Llano, Michoacán in 1911. Daniel Tammett is an extraordinary person in more ways than one. He has savant syndrome, which in itself is extremely rare. Savants have skills such as superior memory, lightening calculation, calendar calculating, musical ability, artistic ability, and/or language ability. Daniel has many of these. Daniel also has a “visual, emotional experience of numbers” (2) called synesthesia, which is also “a rare neurological mixing of the senses” (2), and on top of those two disorders, he also has Asperger’s syndrome. Having one of those can be so debilitating that it can be extremely hard to function in the world, but having three?? If someone were to say they had those disorders, it would be assumed that he/she would be living in a hospital because they would need help with daily living. Daniel is strong though, and he never let any of his disorders keep him down. That is a unique thing about him.…

Diet is a very important therapy for managing diabetes, and health care professionals should consider the patient’s pre-pregnancy weight, general health, dietary habits, activity level and insulin treatment (Gilbert, 2011). The first line of management for women with GDM is nutrition therapy (Hernandez, 2016). This can also be the most difficult therapy to manage, as culture and emotions are often important factors in a person’s eating routine (Hernandez, 2016). The goal for GDM patients is to maintain good glycemic control and achieve a reasonable body weight and serum lipid levels, while also maintaining adequate calories and nutrients for the increased metabolic needs of pregnancy (Gilbert, 2011). Women with GDM are sensitive to carbohydrates, especially at breakfast, and should be informed to limit sugary and concentrated sweets (Gilbert, 2011). Eating a small breakfast with…

    Learn About the Hcg Diet

So how will you know if you are on the right dose of hCG? How should you feel exactly? These are good questions, especially if this is your first time trying the hCG Diet because you're not quite sure what to expect (kind of like wondering what it's like to give birth to a baby when you're pregnant for the first time!) Why does the dosing of hCG matter? DOSE MATTERS. Should I print up some shirts for us hCGers? I can't reiterate the importance of this enough. Reasons having the right dose for your personally while on hCG: 1. First of all, if you are hungry on the hCG Diet, it will be totally intolerable and you will give up. It's totally miserable to be hungry all the time and not sustainable. Not to mention you will probably run your family members out of the house because you'll be so grumpy. 2. Secondly, and more importantly, having no hunger on hCG is a good indicator that your body really is using your stored fat for fuel. Experiencing excessive hunger then would indicate the opposite. It is possible that being on too high or too low a dose of hCG that causes you hunger will cause your body to hold on to fat instead. This could cause you to not lose weight at all, or to lose muscle. I don't think I have to say this not what you want while eating only 500 calories each day! I have seen far too many people not address hunger issues soon enough- if you are abnormally hungry, please check into the possible causes right away so you can get the best results for your time on the hCG Diet. How Should I Feel on the hCG Diet as Regards Hunger? Let's talk about it in a nutshell first, then we'll expand on the topic in a little more detail. In a nutshell: Aside from the first few days of the diet (we'll talk about those in a minute), for the majority of the time you are on the VLCD (very low calorie days) of the hCG Diet, you should not be hungry most of the day. However, at mealtimes, times like noon and 6pm, it's normal to be hungry to need to eat the designated hCG…
