First, when you begin your ride it starts with a small inertia jerk, you can feel the exhilaration as you creep up the slope of the first hill at a constant speed. Whenever you get to the peak you can see an amazing view, and since you have the highest potential energy you get only a few seconds before you are going downhill at 100 miles per hour. Before long, as you come towards the bottom there are three loops, each 35 feet

Then, you speed up a small hill into a barrel roll, of increasing friction, you only spin around three times. Next, when you reach the bottom of the hill you hit a turn, that is sharper than all the other turns. Then you quickly climb up another short hill, before you are then, abruptly stopped in front of a small red colored lake. Next, if you look at the surface of the red lake you can see as a dark shadow under the surface until a flame bursts out of the red water and you get sent down into a tube inside the water at 90 miles per hour. You go through this underwater pipe, seeing the thick red liquid surrounding it, this pipe is an upside-down loop that takes you down and back around, when you hit the bottom of the pipe you are sprayed with clear clean water, which looks like it is red due to the liquid that surrounds the pipe. Also, if you take a few seconds to look up you can see a large dark shadow over you. Next, as you come back to the surface you see the flames again but, they disappear before you emerge. Then you go up a hill a hill that pulls you up a with a chain before it launches you at 80 miles per hour over the top of the hill. Then, as you go down the

The vehicle’s whimsical blue and green hues contradict its terrifying and thrilling nature. The incredible speeds of the roller coaster certainly provide enough of a thrill for the most daring adventure seekers. The winding path that the ride takes as the machine makes its way through the sky resembles the body of a snake as the animal slithers over the jungle floor. The turbulent trolley’s precipitous drop strikes fear into the hearts and minds of all riders that decide to meet the coaster’s challenge. Screams of terror and…

Invasive species are organisms that infiltrate ecosystems that are unable to support their alien lifestyle and diet. Their initial invasion may seem inconsequential and, frankly, insignificant at first, but their numbers will quickly grow and multiply, so much that the future outcome takes a drastic turn for the worst. Florida, in particular, has been attacked by numerous invasive species because of its accessibility to foreign cargo and material. The Burmese python, Cuban treefrog, and lionfish are just a few of the infamous invasive species growing in prominence throughout Florida. Even though these species seem incredibly different, they have one thing in common - an ability to tear down entire ecosystems by just being alive! It is important…

First, to understand how a rollercoaster works, one must understand what exactly defines a rollercoaster. Generally, they have several drops and valleys, loops and turns, which are all traversed through the manipulation of its kinetic andpotential energy. For example, in most situations a roller coaster car will initially be pulled a large hill. As the suspense for the riders grows, so does the potential energy. Once at the top, the ride’s built up potential energy is turned into kinetic energy by the…

How does a Roller Coaster work? Roller coasters have no engines (although many still tend to think they do) and are thus not propelled around the track by a motor. The transfer of potential energy to kinetic energy is what steers the roller coaster, and all of the kinetic energy required for the ride is present once the coaster goes down the first ‘hill’. Laws of Gravitation Gravitational energy takes place due to the gravitational force by which matter attracts other matter. As the coaster is pulled up the first ‘peak’ of the coaster, the gravitational energy increases. When the coaster Montezum Roller Coaster reaches the backside of the hill, the gravitational force is what causes it to accelerate. A great part of the roller coaster 's gravitational energy is converted to kinetic energy on the backside of the first ‘peak’. As the coaster goes up the second ‘peak’, its kinetic energy is converted back into gravitational energy. Since the roller coaster 's kinetic energy at the end of its first ‘peak’ is less than its gravitational energy at the beginning of this same ‘peak’, the second ‘crest’ is shorter than the first. If the second ‘hill’ were as tall as the first one, the coaster would stop before getting to the top of the second ‘peak’ and would thus start moving in reverse. Every hill in the track must be smaller than the previous one, except if the coaster is pulled once again (as it was when going up the first ‘peak’). Centripetal Forces On a looping coaster, the general rules of centripetal force are applicable since the ‘train’ is turning at every point during the loop. The force that makes it possible…
