1. Introduction
Issues of drainage management have been a major problem in urban areas of Nepal especially in Kathmandu valley. The sewage and septic of every house is directly being drained into the rivers and rivulets. Rivers like Bagmati, Bishnumati, etc are being polluted due to ineffective management. Besides this people’s greed and irresponsibility has added a layer on this problem as very less have made septic tank and mini-treatment system of their own.
