Dramatic Monologue Script
Choice 1

JIMMY
I need detention. I really need detention. See, there's this girl... I know, I know, it always starts with a girl ... But this girl is special... I mean it this time... Really special. Her name is Harmony... But she goes my Harm. Cute huh? She can harm me any time she wants. And she has too. A couple of times. But I deserved it... Cause I touched her once. I didn't touch her anywhere bad. Just on the shoulder. And she broke my finger. So I guess we kind of have held hands. I was just gonna ask to borrow a pencil. One of those ones she sharpens with her pocket knife and then throws in the ceiling all over school. She even got one in the gym ceiling. You know how high that is? Like 5000 feet. And I just stand under those pencils, hoping one will fall down and I can have one of them for my very own. Something to remember her by. Until I get in to detention. I gotta figure out some way to get detention because I wanna see her more... with her more... And turn Harm into Harmony again... Cause I see that beautiful harmony under all that black and gloom. She just needs a reason to smile and I want to be that reason. So I have to get detention. What's something good... I mean I want it to be really really good so I get thrown in there a long time... Plus I have to make it worth it... Something great that she can respect... How about giving the principal a wedgie? That would do it... A good old up the back over the head mega wedgie. Let's do this.
END

Choice 2
I saw it... This terrible thing. It happened to this girl I don't even like. And no one knows who did it... Except me.
Do I tell?

It's between what is right and what will ruin your life.

I don't even like her... She brings it on herself.
Why does she have to be so... Weird?

And if I tell... Everyone will turn against me... I will be like her... An outcast... Invisible.

Is that how it happens... One little thing you do turns you in to a leper? Social leprosy.

The right thing feels so wrong.

Do you ever feel like someone is watching you when you walk past a mirror? That's because we are always watching you. I've been hanging on the wall at the Capulet house for more than 15 years. In those years, I watched our young Juliet grow up into a fine woman, several servants come and go, and so many interested parties take place in this home like the one last night. I've seen enemies enter, revenge be sworn, and a forbidden love blossom.…

    The Red Monologue

The bitter night Avah was killed the whole town was out celebrating. The Spring Festival was an annual affair and only the most isolated of persons would have not been there. It was a festival meticulously planned out by those intrigued in such matters and each detail was carried out to exact perfection. The Humphrey family would perform a skit each year at exactly six-thirty, the mayor would grace the audience with a well-planned speech at six-forty-five. At seven o’clock the potluck dessert would be brought out by the women and then once a half hour had passed, enough time for the people to converse with each other, the festival games would begin.…

What knowledge is there now that I can be innocent of? Innocent, the eyes of one who sees the corpse of a King, smoothly hacked at like a piece of meat by a well-practiced butcher, knowing that it was those eyes, my eyes, that watched the traitorous act come to pass. How can these little hands ever be clean of guilt, when they are covered in the blood they smothered, still warm, upon the sleeping innocents. I held the very dagger that slashed life to shreds, daggers which now reap their revenge in the stabbing of my dear lord’s soul. How am I to stop this guilt, the fowl opposite of ‘innocence, from being poured into the ear, gradually possessing our senses and having reverence over our actions? I should have known a man so full of milk of human…

Umm, Just let me say, right off the bat, this isn’t the kind of book where you meet the main character and you get to like him real well and then he dies at the end, ’cause I hate those kinds of stories. While I was waiting, I looked around, and from the window, the sky became darker and darker as the cloud covered the last sunlight. I couldn’t breathe. In about twenty minutes, most parents were there. Then the head teacher started to talk about how seriously we did. She told in front of all these people: “she was the one who cheated teachers and brought her friends out of school. We teachers are responsible for your children’s safety in the school. But who is responsible for that once they are out? Jasmine, can you?” I was shocked. I did not think about that the teacher would blame me for all of this. Everyone in the office was staring at me, and my parents as well. I was ashamed, so ashamed that I wanted to hide, and I can’t stop my tears out. The teacher continued and talked to all of students: “I believed you because you are fifth grade. I thought you are old enough to distinguish right or wrong. But now, I am really disappointed at you guys.” We were still in elementary school, and we were so young to comfort ourselves in this situation. Most of the girls in our group began to sob like me.…
