Dramaturgical Perspective

People present themselves to society in a manner that they want others to accept as. This can be creditable or discreditable. Presentation of self it relates to dramaturgical perspective because people behave in a manner that society will seem as acceptable. We try to leave a certain impression on others, so they can perceive us that way. Goffman’s key assumptions regarding how we present ourselves in everyday life are about how we shape our interactions and how we define the situation and the goal in presenting ourselves.
