What kinds of research questions would you ask?
I would ask research questions such as: what motivates individuals to exercise? Was exercising a personal choice or was it recommended by a doctor or an expert? Are you working towards a goal? Do you follow a diet and a gym routine? Do you listen to music while exercising? Do you exercise alone, with friends or a fitness trainer? Does exercising alter your mood?
These research questions would be asked during the qualitative analysis because the answer to these questions are potential factors that can affect an individual’s gym behaviour.

As a dramaturgical theorist, I would apply the concept of scenes, acts, scripts and regions from the perspective. The concept of scenes would be applicable while studying behaviour at fitness centres because it is where interaction occurs and a sequence individual’s behaviour occurs, such as how individuals behave at the gym (Dennis, 2015). Additionally, individuals may have a general idea of how they are going to exercise at the gym, this is considered a script. Similarly to scripts, individuals will spend time planning and preparing before the go to the gym, such as planning an exercise routine and a diet; referred to as backstage regions (Dennis, 2015). Front stage regions are the public performances individuals perform; where the individual acts on their planning (Dennis,
