Dream College
Since I was a kid I’ve always dreamed of attending the University of California Berkley. Many of my family members have attended this college, and I would like to carry on this tradition.
The University of California, Berkeley also known as UC Berkeley, Berkeley, California, was built in 1868 in Berkley California east of San Francisco Bay. The university has a total undergraduate of 25,885, and the campus size is 1,232 acres. Tuition and fees are $11,767 and out-of-state tuition and fees are $34,645. University of California Berkeley's is currently ranked in the 2013 Best Colleges rankings.
Every college has their traditions and such but I must say the University of California has the most unique traditions of all such as the 4.0 Ball. The stone ball in front of the Campanile is more than a century old, but they say rubbing it right before taking an exam is good luck, along with wearing you’re lucky socks and getting a good night's sleep. Another tradition is the "Big C Sirkus". It is located in hills above campus. The C is considered fair prey, The athletic opponents of California try to emblaze their colors on it.
The university colors are blue and gold. They choose blue and gold because the deep-blue pacific ocean and Gold because California is known at the “Golden state”. Winning is Cal tradition. They have 82 national team titles in 15 different sports and has 235 individual (146), crew (47), swimming relay (32), tennis doubles (14) and track relay (3) national champions. Golden Bear student-athletes have won 146 individual national titles in boxing, men's and women's track & field, men's and women's tennis, men's gymnastics, men's and women's swimming, and women's golf.
In order to accomplish my dreams of attending the University of California Berkley I will continue to work hard in school and in athletics. I have made myself a promise that I will demote all of my time to studying and trying to get all A’s and possibly graduating 10% of my

The Kansas Jayhawks mascot was the first thing to catch my eye as I entered Allen Fieldhouse for the first time on January 20th, the day KU played against Baylor. The mascot was so big it stretched across the entire floor. Several other details seemed to catch my eye as well, like the glowing “KANSAS” letters that touched the wall next to the overpriced gift shop, the many show cases of KU basketball players and the illustrated sign that hung above the girls basketball show case that read, “Pay Heed, All Who Enter, Beware of the Phog”.…

First of all, most Native American logos are meant to honor Indians and their tribes, not offend. Some evidence of this is in the article “The Use of Indian Mascots”, page 2 when it states “Max Osceola, the chief and general council president of the Seminole tribe of Florida, has stated that he regards it as honor to be associated with the university.” This proves that some feel honored by Indian mascots, so sports teams should be allowed to use these logos.…

These shirts serve as souvenirs for teams participating in the bowl games. This bowl game is also a great opportunity for high school players to have a true bowl game experience. The Red Carpet Bowl committee has given Porters Chapel, St. Aloysius, Vicksburg, and Warren Central High School football teams the opportunity to play against teams they would not usually come across like Gulfport and Wayne County. These Red Carpet Bowl T-shirts are worn proudly by the participating band members as well. The bands usually wear the shirts because it is extremely too hot to wear the traditional band uniforms. Over the years I have generated a collection of Red Carpet Bowl tees that I have accumulated over.…

Year after year, faithful collegiate football fans gather around the tailgate of their cars in parking lots around the nation and cook mediocre meals that taste delicious at the time because they share it with their fellow fans and season ticket holders. After graduating from Western Oregon University I will apply to a dental school to earn a dental degree. During my college career I will work hard to maintain a high grade point average just like I have in high school. My goal for high school was to get a 4.0 all through high school so that I could be the valedictorian. I was able to achieve this by doing my homework every night and studying tirelessly. There was times when I thought that I wasn't going to be able to accomplish this. For example, this year I am taking AP physics and I have always struggled with science…
