The Adobe Dreamweaver first lesson was basically an introduction to the software, in which it showed the user how to access the files lesson, and to open up said files. The lesson also went in a little detail about the use of adding images into your code, by adding it to the live view portion of the window, it automatically adds the required code so that the user doesn’t have to do so. It also showed the user how to add “alt” descriptions for the image as well, I’m assuming that in cause the image doesn’t show up on the browser, then there will be a descriptive text of what is supposed to be shown. The second lesson of Dreamweaver went over two different ways to create a new site, look at the site settings and how to create servers to connect to a remote location.
The third lesson was adding text and images to the web pages to create an interactive and immersive experience for the user. We used the dw lesson 3 files, and added pictures of beets and cucumbers to the example site. I added pictures by means of the drop down menu add images or you can select from a the files on the right hand side of the files, and drag and drop the required image that you want put into the web page. Chapter 18, went into detail about saving your work to the cloud, so that you can access your files from anywhere with the cloud. The chapter also explains that DW is compatible with HTML5 as well as CSS3. Although, this is a new software for me to use, I think that I will be accustomed to using it once I get more and more familiar with it. I think that it is a great idea to be able to drag and drop rather than typing in all the coding, which is what the textbooks have taught me to do so far. Dreamweaver is probably going to eliminate a lot of the manual coding that is needed when creating a website, so I believe that this may make a developer/programmer become lax if they don’t practice at times.
