The instructors make them question why they are there by pushing them to their limits. The cadets learn there is no time to have mistakes. The one thing on their mind is to graduate and become a Navy Seal. They know that it "pays to be a winner". By the end of the week one almost half of the class is gone because they couldn't take the training or got injured. This makes the cadets still in training feel great about themselves, knowing that they made it longer than others.…
The ROTC program is a military program in schools to encourage discipline and brotherhood between classmates. Students are less likely to fall victim to peer pressure…

Jrotc also differs from other high school because all the cadets also learn skills such as discipline and leadership skills. Most students in high school leadership skills nor disciplinary skills. All students need leadership and disciplinary skills to get them through life, school,…
One word to describe myself would be leadership. As the commander of my high school’s JROTC Drill Team, and the President of the National Technical Honor Society I have had many occasions where I had to step out of my comfort zone and take control of situations. Before joining JROTC I did not know what being a great leader was, but after becoming a squad leader I realized I needed to step out of my comfort zone and be the great leader that my squad deserves. Now three years later I am now the Drill Team commander, which I absolutely love being. I love being a guide for others, to be a supporter for them as they go through difficulty. Being a leader has taught me to be humble, to put others before myself. When being a leader you have to realize…
Mr Zinurine Alghali stated that there is a need to learn about tasks, roles and responsibilities of each component. He also added that each component should reinforce the other in order to ensure and maximize mission-wide impact. The next topic that Mr Zinurine Alghali covered was about looking for innovative approaches that can be used to strengthen integrated or joint training. He said that we need to look into futuristic innovative approaches that enable improvement. Mr Zinurine Alghali pointed out that assessment must be effective in order to improve. He added that self-reflection of each component is important to be able to improve and better coordinate with others. Finally, Mr Zinurine Alghali concluded by saying that training should be based on understanding the roles, tasks and responsibilities of each component and how to best use their…
JROTC was established in 1916 when the US prepared to enter WW1 in 1917 and the two levels of ROTC came to be established. The senior ROTC programs were put into collages their task was to commission officers for service in the military. The junior ROTC programs were put into high schools. Their primary task was to prepare male teenagers for the military service. The JROTC program dates way back to the 1800’s. The founder Captain Alden Patridge introduced the program to the military academy in 1819. In 1916 president Woodrow Wilson passed the National Defense Act into the law, that formally established the ROTC as a national tool to prepare the students for the service in the military. The…

Coming from an area to which the term “JROTC” is completely unheard of, I did not quite know what to expect upon entering this class. What I found was a fantastic group of kids that are eager to learn and indulge in all that this has to offer. Never before have I found a program to which I was fully committed until I was presented with the outstanding opportunity of JROTC.…
When you think of JROTC what comes to mind? Several thing comes to mind to me. It touches my heart to see everyone working together and having a good time. JROTC is a great way to practice teamwork and leadership. I feel as though the whole universe needs these two attributes and I feel so though JROTC meets them.…
For many years my wife and I have had the opportunity of running and teaching at our martial arts studio here in South Florida, in the past couple of years the competition has come and gone, our longevity has been due to our continuing to change up and add to our training programs. In the recent years our students and friends have asked us to possibly add some sort of boot camp training, due to my military background. Here is where my business research experience was born.…
JROTC first interested me when I saw that my brother, Raul Garcia, was in it. Ever since he joined JROTC I saw how responsible and mature he became. JROTC teaches you how to become a leader, how to guide and set yourself up for success, and it teaches you about military history and such. . There are also special teams, which compete against other schools.…

I started going to JROTC summer camp the summer before my freshman year of high school. Back then, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The camp was much more difficult than I expected, despite the warning in the information packet to get in shape. At fourteen, I had no idea how to stand at attention, or fall into a formation. However, I caught on to those things quickly by watching the older cadets around me. Physical training began at 6 am, before breakfast, and was followed by rigorous survival training in first aid, shelter building, and orienteering. By lights out each night, I was exhausted and sore, but determined to prove myself. The camp had a system of separating average cadets from those who were a step higher: Spike Night. Throughout camp, the…
From my personal experience, team related questions are the most frequently asked questions in job interviews. Companies want to know the interviewees’ experience with diversified teams, because they want to know the type of team player of the interviewee. As most companies function in the unit of a team, it is increasingly important for employees and managers to understand how a team works, and how to transit smoothly from different stages. The Army Crew Team case reveals the frustration associated with declining performance by the varsity boat at the United States Military Academy. The symptoms are obvious, but the root causes lie underneath the symptoms. Multiple factors from multiple parties contributed to the situation. The best solution that addresses the root causes will be discussed in the conclusion.…
