Introduction: 1. What possesses a person to get behind the driver’s seat of a car and drive intoxicated. This question is always asked whenever a drunk driver is involved in a drinking and driving incident. Many people drink and drive without thinking about the consequences. The majority of fatal car crashes are caused be alcohol related incidents. 2. My name is Jacquelyn Wells. I never thought I’d be involved with a drinking and driving incident. But just like I thought it wouldn’t happen to me, it could happen to anybody. I have researched this problem and identified solutions to make this better. 3. If you are drinking and driving, then you are part of the problem. I want you to be part of the solution instead. 4. I know you think it is cool to drink even though your underage, but its not. And you think its easy to just get drunk and think its okay to drive home because you “feel” sober. But please do me a favor and be a responsible drinker, meaning if you do drink, drink at the legal age which is 21 and if you are 21 and drinking make sure you have a designated driver. 5. I want to share with you what I have learned about drinking and driving, how it effects people, the consequences, and what we can do to make this better. Conclusion: 1. Before I end today, I want to review the things we have talked about. 2. We looked at how drinking and driving can change a person’s life drastically. We have seen how drinking and driving could hurt other people who were not even apart that. More importantly, we have examined the ways that we can decrease the number of people drinking and driving. 3. When I go to parties I make sure I don’t put my cup down so people won’t put something in my drink. 4. I have a list of organizations you can be in to stop drinking and driving. 5. I hope you will be more responsible when you are drinking in the future. Now that you know about the problem, you can make sure you are not
