They use underground tunnels, catapults, off-road vehicles and commercial trucks just to name a few. We need to control our borders better and build a better wall between the United States and Mexico, not just for immigration issues, but to fight the drug traffickers. We also need more border patrol and they need the appropriate tools. Drug trafficking is a $50 billion plus a year business in Mexico. Mexico is known for producing large amounts of marijuana, crystal meth and heroin. At one time there were eight drug cartels in Mexico, now there are two main cartels still "operating and functioning" within Mexico, the Sinaloa Cartel and the recently established Jalisco New Generation Drug Cartel (CJNG). The War on Drugs in Mexico has led to the explosion of violence and criminal activity. The cartels are not fighting the government for power, they are protecting their billion dollar business. There are 37 most wanted drug lords in Mexico with a reward for their capture of $2.4 million.
