essay for ticket

On may third two thousand and ten, at nine o'clock in the morning i received a ticket for driving while in use of a motor vehicle. At the time of the suspected incident, i had just pulled up to a red stop light and was running a little late because of the traffic. So i decided to call my sergeant which is in charge of me to let him know what was going on, i picked up my cell phone after i had come to a complete stop and then called him, at this time the light is still red, i talked to my Sgt on the phone for maybe like a total of about forty seconds at the most . Hung up the cell phone on my end. At this point still stopped at the red light waiting for it to turn green, well i waited for the light to finally turn green this is when i proceed to drive on at this point, i got about maybe one hundred yards down the road and looked in my rearview mirror and i see red and blue lights, i began to pull to the side of the road to let the officer pass the next thing i know

The officer walks up to the car, gives his reason for pulling me over then gave me a citation then proceeded to tell me that had i ran a red light or ran a stop sign that he could have over looked the ticket or let me go with basically a warning, which made no sense because doing something of that nature seems a lot more dangerous than talking on a cell phone at a red light stopped, at this point now you know why i'm attempting to write this essay on why not to drive and use a cell

A Missouri police officer stopped Tyler McNeely after observing it exceeding the posted speed limit and repeatedly crossing the center line. The officer noticed McNeely’s bloodshot eyes, his slurred speech, and a smell of alcohol on his breath. McNeely performed poorly on a battery of field sobriety tests, and he declined to take a Breathalyzer test. When McNeely indicated he refuse a breath sample for testing, the officer took him to a nearby hospital for blood alcohol test. The officer explained to McNeely that under Missouri’s implied consent law, refusal to submit voluntarily to the blood test would lead to an immediate one-year suspension of his driver’s license and could be used against him in any future prosecution. The testing of the blood indicated that the blood alcohol level was significantly above the legal limit. McNeely had challenged the blood test evidence claiming that there should have been a search warrant before ordering a blood sample.…

Last summer, I was on my way to work, in my lifeguard uniform travelling on a back street with a 25 mph speed limit when I came up behind a vehicle going about 15 mph. After a block or so I adjusted my car to see if there was traffic or pedestrians holding him up. There were none. The vehicle then pulled over and I slowed down even more and then assumed he was letting me pass so I passed and it was an undercover officer who then pulled me over. I was rudely greeted by the officer saying, “I don’t care how late I make you for your job; and I don’t care if you are a guard.”…

His license plates were a couple of weeks out of date, which is a definite reason to be pulled over. The officer was driving in the lane next to us but slightly behind. The county sheriff deputy police cruisers are equipped with cameras that read every license plate it sees so I’m sure the fact that they were expired flashed on his display. Instead of getting behind us and pulling us over, he accelerated past us, looked into our vehicle then slowed to get behind us and on came his lights. I truly believe if we were not two youngish black guys he would’ve keep going. During the traffic stop, the deputy asked me for my identification, which I feel is odd because most of the times I get pulled over, 3-6 times a year, my wife is with me and she has never been asked to furnish ID. His goal was to see if I had warrant(s) so he could get an…
