1)Explain, in your own words, why Edie and Terry may have changed their opinions regarding what must be done about the corruption on the waterfront. Use quotes to support your ideas.
Both Edie and Terrys opinions have changed throughout this scene, in different ways to one another. Terry was never happy with the corruption on the waterfront but he was not one who would speak out and confront Johnny and his mob. After Terry sees that his brother Charlie is murdered by the mob, at this point he is upset and angry with Johnny. In which he takes it further and threatens to kill Johnny with a gun. We see that Terry opinion has changed greatly because before this scene Johnny would not have the guts to hold a gun to Johnny, but since its brother he plans revenge.
Edie in this scene goes against her original opinion – she tries to stop Terry from going to kill/yell at Johnny. Edie knows how terry feels due to the lost of Joey.

Terry seeks revenge
1)Father Barry challenges Terry to be truly brave and to use the truth against Johnny Friendly. During this confrontation he both punches Terry in the face and, at the conclusion of their conversation, orders a beer. How is Father Barry being portrayed in this scene and why?
Father Barry is portrayed by Terry because he says “go to hell” Which is quite offence towards father Barry especially due to the fact that he is part of the church. Father Barry is just trying to help out Terry so that he does not make the wrong decision, telling him rather than killing Johnny sort it out in court. Terry is abusing Father Barry’s beliefs and isn’t being very considerate to the fact that he is trying to do the right thing.
