After Hannah’s retirement, Ike being the owner has struggled in his first two years owning and managing Hannah’s Ice Cream shop. Ike’s employees found him difficult to cope with and describing him as cold, uncommunicative and short-tempered working with them. By committing wrongful deeds, customers left and an employee quit. The company lost money as it was expensive and time consuming to find and train new employees. Another problem in the business was financial records; revenues were low seventeen percent and profits had fallen twenty two percent. He cancelled weekly improvement meetings, the monthly picnic for employees and their families, and employee’s bonus program since he felt they no longer were affordable. He was afraid of losing Nafeeza since he knew she was critical to the success of his business by managing and operating the shop.
