Rhetoric is defined as the art of using language so as to persuade or influence others; the body of rules to be observed by a speaker or writer in order that he may express himself with eloquence. We use language chiefly for exposition, argument, description, and narration. He uses any or all the different methods to persuade his reader.
1. Exposition is defined as the action of setting forth, or of explaining; a detailed explanation or interpretation.
