    Great Wolf Lodge Weekend

We spent most of the weekend at the indoor water park. There were two different slides where all four of us could ride in one raft. My favorite ride was the Howlin’ Tornado, which dropped riders into a six-story funnel in the beginning. Once you are through the funnel, it throws you back and forth up thirty feet on each side while spinning you around in circles. It was a real rush! We all enjoyed the Slap Tail Pond wave pool, which had three-foot waves every few minutes. We rode the waves on a tube for part of the time and then relaxed in the edge of the water the rest of the time. Fort Mackenzie was a neat four-story interactive tree house with two smaller twin slides called Totem Towers on one side. At the very top of the Totem Towers, there was a giant bucket that filled up with water nonstop. Once the bucket was full, it would dump 1000 gallons of water over the entire tree house and everyone around it. There was so much water spraying from every direction that it was impossible not to get drenched. It was fun and exciting to anticipate when the bucket would empty again.…

The mentors would guide the mentees on any questions they have on the EDN program, Taskstream, field experience, etc., and give them advices on what they’ve learned in the past to do in the first-level courses of the program. Then one of the advisors discussed what Teach First is and welcome anybody who is a first-generation student to come to the meetings. 1. Incorporation (Inc.) means to form a legal association of individuals, created by law or under the authority of law, with a continuous existence independent of the existences of its members, and with powers and liabilities distinct from those of its members. Therefore, Food Inc. implies that food system of the modern day has become more of a combination of monopolized businesses, whom only care about their profits, rather than the farmers from the obsolete agricultural system.…

Most off our food is handled and processed by somebody else. The truth is Americans don’t have the time to farm and nor do the dirty bits. In America, whoever does the best in the fourth quarter controls how things will run, with the ever growing hunger for wealth there is no limit to what can be achieved. An American Filmmaker, Robert Kenner, released a documentary Food Inc, a perfect example of greed and disregard for what can be considered ethical in the food industry. Kenner was inspired to make this film after reading Fast Food Nation to show how portray the whole supermarket has become industrialized almost resembling the fast-food industries. The documentary Food Inc. is about slaughter houses, food manufacturing, and other food related subsets. The film relies heavily on visuals and also the commentary used statistics and facts creating attitude.…
